Education
Strategic Plan and Budget for 2026-27
Superintendent Ngieng presented the 2026-27 Budget and Strategic Plan update, and Secretary-Treasurer Schulte presented the budget for 2026-2027. The board approved the Abbotsford School District Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2026-2027, specifying a total budget amount of $307,199,707.
Summary of changes to Administrative Procedures (APs)
Superintendent Ngieng presented an overview of changes and updates to nine (9) Administrative Procedures (APs), highlighting areas where language and processes were modernized or newly established to align with Ministry direction and current district practice.

Board of Education approved the proposed Public Board Meeting Schedule for 2026-2027 as presented.
Trustee Election Procedures Bylaw 2026A
The Board of Education approved the Trustee Election Procedures Bylaw 2026A for the upcoming election.
Property Disposition Bylaw 92: Semá:th Elementary - Statutory Right of Way (BC Hydro and Power Authority)
The Board of Education approved that statutory right of way be given to British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority at Semá:th Elementary School.
Revised Board Policy 7 - Board Governance and Operations - Question period 2.3
The Board of Education approved the revised Board Policy 7 - Board Governance and Operations as presented.
Child Care Program Capital Plan Submission 2026-2027 (Minor Capital Projects)
The Board of Education approved the proposed Minor Child Care Program Capital Plan for 2026-2027 submitted to the Ministry of Infrastructure. Applications were for sites at South Polar Traditional Elementary, John Maclure Community School, and Prince Charles Elementary Schools.
Five-Year Capital Plan Submission 2027-2028 (Minor Capital Projects)
The Board of Education approved the proposed Minor Capital Projects for 2027-2028 as provided on the Five-Year Capital Plan Summary for 2027-2028 submitted to the Ministry of Infrastructure.
Five-Year Capital Plan Submission 2027-2028 (Major Capital Projects)
The Board of Education approved the proposed Major Capital Projects for 2027-2028 as provided on the Five-Year Capital Summary for 2027-2028 submitted to the Ministry of Infrastructure.
Trustee Indemnities 2026-2030
A recommendation was put forward by an independent committee that the Board of Education approve the indemnities for members of the Board of Education for December 1, 2026 to November 30, 2030, (Quadrennium). The Board of Education decided to move the approval to the September 2026 meeting.
