Celebrating Student Success at Skills Canada BC Provincials

April 23, 2026

Abbotsford School District is once again celebrating strong results at the Skills Canada BC Provincial Competition, where students showcased their skills across trades and technology.

Kate Brown (ASIA Sumas) earned Gold in Architectural Drafting and will advance to the national competition. Hailey McIntosh (Robert Bateman Secondary) earned Bronze in Electrical Wiring, highlighting the depth of talent across the district.

These achievements reflect the hands-on learning opportunities that prepare students for future pathways in skilled trades and technology.

Kate will go on to represent British Columbia at the Skills Canada National Competition in Toronto this May, where top students from across the country compete.

Congratulations to both students for representing the Abbotsford School District with excellence.
